We're fully aware that our business contributes to pollution in the environment. For many businesses it is easy to shrug it off with the
excuse that, "We are providing a needed service to our customers and the community."
While this is certainly the case with Grey Cab, and any other fleets in the country, we feel that it is unaccepable and irresponsible
for a business to not at least try to limit the impact or "foot print" we have on the environment. This is especially true when there are
viable options available today to replace the higher polluting vehicles of previous years.
That's why we've chosen to go with new FlexFuel minivans from Chrysler to replace our entire fleet.**
Chrysler® flex-fuel vehicles (FFV) are designed to run on conventional unleaded gasoline or E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline) or
any blend of the two. This allows you to take advantage of cleaner-burning E85 alternative fuel wherever it's available.
The ethanol in E85 is essentially produced from corn. Because alcohol fuels are corrosive, FFV engine and fuel systems are specially
designed to accept gasoline/alcohol combinations. The fuel mixture is detected by sensors in the system that in turn signal the engine
control unit to adjust the fuel injection rate and spark timing for optimal performance, fuel economy, and emissions.

May 31st, 2007, sees the addition of the first three new FlexFuel Dodge Grand Caravans to the Grey Cab fleet. The remainder of our Dodge Minivans will be
phased out and replaced with all new FlexFuel minivans by the middle of 2009. Vehicles in our fleet are replaced approximately
every 3 years -- just one more reason people have come to identify Grey Cab with quality.
By running FlexFuel vehicles instead of regular gasoline vehicles, Grey Cab can expect to reduce emissions by approximately 10,000lbs
of green house gasses, per vehicle, per year!
Based on 75,000 miles/year useage.
